This week, I’ve been feeling the importance of creating space!
When I hear people say things like spiritual practice, yoga practice, etc I had never really thought about the word practice in it. It’s literally practicing slowing down & staying tuned in to yourself, so when more chaotic loud moments happen through out the day you know how to come back to yourself.
I attended a yoga class on Wednesday loaded with heart space opening exercises that I felt just created so much space within me. I had more room to love and give to my family when I got home from the one hour I took away from them.
I’ve struggled with leaving my family to make this space. Like a lot. I’m joint at the hip with my baby and love it, AND I also know it’s not sustainable to be his everything literally 24-7 (stay at home mom, breastfeeding, and cosleeping lol).
Also, allowing space to receive. If you constantly have distractions going, how can you really be connected to your intuition or messages from the universe? Today, I was struggling with a decision and I wasn’t sure if it was old patterns or intuition I was listening to. I took my son out into nature with the intention of unplugging from the day to day so I could really plug into my intuition instead. A few minutes into our walk we heard a rattle snake!! We turned around and headed back to our car and as I started the car the time read 4:44, message of synchronicities and protection. My message was loud and clear because I created space to receive it! Like, of course I felt scattered and unsure when I was at home trying to do 5 things at once with the tv on in the background. Space to receive needs to be given.
Creating pockets of time to practice new ways of being will make choosing the new thought patterns easier in the day to day.
