The moons energy grows as we enter the first quarter. During this phase the moon reminds me of the Yin Yang symbol. A reminder of finding balance between light and dark.
One of my intentions was to invite more joy into my life this moon cycle. I have been working hard at noticing and appreciating the moments that spark joy through out the day. However, it is important to remember that joy would not exist without its counterpart emotions. It is not possible to feel joy 24-7, or to "enjoy every moment."
This week I listened to a guided meditation on the Insight Timer App called the Mountain Meditation. It had you visualize a mountain as the seasons brought many changes to the weather and scenery, yet the mountain remained grounded. It likened us to the mountain. Emotions come and go like the seasons, how can we remain grounded and balanced?
How can you find balance in your intentions this week? Remember, perfection is not the goal. Be gentle with yourself as you ride the waves!
I’ve been working on diminishing my all or nothing mentality & allowing myself to do things partly or not perfectly instead of forcing perfection.
